By using Acetate, including the website at acetate.studio and the web application made available through Acetate, you agree to these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the service.
Acetate is a music-curation service that recommends albums and related content based on your feedback, preferences, and interactions with the product.
Acetate does not stream, host, or distribute music itself. Listening takes place through third-party platforms or services chosen by you.
Acetate uses AI-supported systems to generate or refine recommendations, summaries, taste insights, and similar product features.
AI-generated output may be imperfect, incomplete, biased, or inaccurate. Recommendations and related content are provided for informational and personalization purposes only, and you remain responsible for your own decisions and judgments.
You may need to create or use an account to access some or all features of Acetate. You must provide accurate information and keep your account access secure.
You may only use Acetate if you are legally able to enter into these Terms under the law applicable to you.
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, except where caused by our fault or by a security issue on our side.
You may submit text feedback, listening notes, preferences, and similar inputs through Acetate.
You retain your rights in the content you submit. However, by using the service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and use that content only to operate, personalize, improve, and support Acetate for you and the functioning of the service.
You must not submit unlawful content or content that infringes the rights of others.
You agree not to use Acetate to:
Commercial terms relating to subscriptions, pricing, free trial access, renewals, cancellation, merchant of record arrangements, and billing are described in the Subscription Terms, which form part of these Terms where applicable.
In summary, Acetate may offer a 7-day free trial without collecting a payment method during the trial period. Paid access begins only if you actively choose to subscribe through the available payment flow.
Acetate may rely on third-party services for authentication, analytics, email delivery, payment flows, and AI functionality. It may also link to third-party listening platforms or music services.
When you use third-party services or leave Acetate for an external platform, the terms and policies of that third party apply. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or policies of third-party services.
You may stop using Acetate at any time. You may also request account deletion or use any available account deletion function inside the product.
If you have an active paid subscription, subscription cancellation may need to be managed separately through the subscription flow described in the Subscription Terms, unless the product explicitly states otherwise at the time of deletion.
We may suspend or terminate access to Acetate if you materially breach these Terms, use the service unlawfully, abuse the product or payment systems, or threaten the security, integrity, or operation of the service.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Acetate is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, perfect accuracy, or that the service will always meet your expectations or preferences.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including non-waivable consumer rights.
These Terms are governed by the law applicable to the operator of Acetate, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections or rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive you of rights you cannot waive under applicable law.
We may update these Terms from time to time for legal, technical, operational, or business reasons.
If the changes are material, we may provide notice by appropriate means, such as on the website, in the app, or by email, before the updated Terms take effect.
Your continued use of Acetate after the effective date of updated Terms means you accept the updated Terms.
