Subscription Terms

Last updated: April 18, 2026

This page explains how Acetate subscriptions work. It covers pricing, trial access, renewals, cancellation, and the payment relationship for eligible web transactions processed through Stripe Managed Payments.

1. Plans and pricing

Acetate is offered on a subscription basis. Prices are shown in US dollars at checkout.

Plan Price Notes
Monthly US$3.99 / month Renews every month after subscription activation unless canceled.
Yearly US$39.99 / year Renews every year after subscription activation unless canceled.

The exact price, billing interval, and payment terms shown during checkout are the terms that apply to your purchase.

2. 7-day free trial

Acetate offers eligible users a 7-day free trial with access to the service.

No payment method is collected during the trial. This means that you will not be charged automatically when the trial ends.

After the trial period, continued access to paid subscription features requires you to actively start a paid subscription.

Important

The free trial does not convert into a paid plan automatically unless and until you choose to subscribe through the available payment flow.

3. Auto-renewal

Once you purchase a paid subscription, your plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled.

If you choose a monthly plan, renewal occurs every month. If you choose a yearly plan, renewal occurs every year.

The applicable renewal price and billing interval are those shown when you subscribe, unless we notify you in advance of a future change.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel a paid subscription at any time before the next renewal date.

  1. Sign in to your Acetate account.
  2. Go to Profile → Manage or the relevant billing area.
  3. Use the available subscription management option to cancel or update your subscription.

If you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid billing period, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Cancellation prevents future renewals.

5. Merchant of record

For eligible web transactions, Stripe Managed Payments acts as merchant of record.

For such transactions, Stripe may handle payment processing, applicable transaction taxes, and certain refund, billing, dispute, or payment-related support processes connected to the transaction.

Acetate remains responsible for the service itself, including the product, its features, and product-related support.

Your bank or card statement may show a Stripe-related descriptor together with a reference to Acetate, depending on the payment flow.

The payment relationship between you and Stripe is governed by Stripe's Services Agreement for Buyers.

6. Refunds and withdrawal rights

Free trial

No payment method is collected during the free trial, so there is nothing to refund unless you later choose to start a paid subscription.

Paid subscriptions

If you purchase a paid subscription, cancellation stops future renewals. Mid-period cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a pro-rated refund unless required by applicable law or granted in a specific case.

Consumer rights

Nothing in these Subscription Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law, including any non-waivable rights relating to digital services, refunds, or withdrawal where such rights apply.

If you have a subscription-related question or want to raise a billing issue, contact support@acetate.studio.

7. Price and terms changes

We may update subscription pricing or these Subscription Terms from time to time for legal, operational, or business reasons.

If changes materially affect existing paid subscribers, we may provide notice in advance by appropriate means, such as email or an in-app notice, before the changes take effect for future billing periods.
